Carolyn Brown

Carolyn N. Brown, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 26, 1941, in Ironton, Mo., to Willard and Irene Simmons Robbs. Carolyn and Bill Brown were married in 1961 in Pocahontas, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Carolyn was an active member of Lynwood Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing the piano at different churches. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Rusty (Pamela) Brown of Jackson and Randall Brown of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Dale Robbs of Roselle, Mo.; a sister, Barbara Sitzes of Roselle; four grandchildren, Kyle Brown of Jackson, Ashlyn Brown of Olive Branch, Ill., Allie and Paige Brown of Jackson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
