TUNNEL HILL, Ill. -- Caroline Eakins, 61, of Tunnel Hill passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
Mrs. Eakins was born Jan. 22, 1944, at Commerce, Mo., to Huby and Letha Fraizer Malone. She and Norman Eakins were married June 8, 1962, at Millersville, Mo. He preceded her in death May 13, 2003.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Ronda Eakins of Kankakee, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael O'Connor of Kankakee; four grandchildren, Megan, Colin, Erin and Nicholas; a brother, Loy and Donna Malone of Kankakee; a sister, Georgia and Roger Cote of Kankakee; a brother, Jim and Connie Malone of Kankakee; a son, Huby and Carol Malone of Kankakee; a sister, Lois and Richard Schweikert of Joliet, Ill.; a brother, Raymond Carroll of Kankakee; and a brother, Tim and Tina Carroll of Kankakee.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband and a daughter, Rhonda Eakins.
She loved antiques and at one time had her own shop in Goreville, Ill. She was a member of Bethlehem Gospel Mission Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Methodist Church in Millersville, with the Rev. Carl Stroder officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery.
