CAIRO, Ill. -- Carol Marie Weatherspoon, 50, of Milwaukee, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995, at her home. She was born May 9, 1945, in Cairo, daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Johnson Williams Sr. She and Thomas Weatherspoon were married in 1969. Weatherspoon was a graduate of Sumner High School and served in the U.S. Army. She moved to Chicago and then to Milwaukee in 1971. She was employed at Marquette University...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Carol Marie Weatherspoon, 50, of Milwaukee, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995, at her home.

She was born May 9, 1945, in Cairo, daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Johnson Williams Sr. She and Thomas Weatherspoon were married in 1969.

Weatherspoon was a graduate of Sumner High School and served in the U.S. Army. She moved to Chicago and then to Milwaukee in 1971. She was employed at Marquette University.

Survivors include a son, Michael Weatherspoon of Milwaukee; her mother of Cairo; six sisters, Betty Nelson, Gwen Agnew, Bernadine Johnson, all of Cairo, Tonya and Marilyn Williams of Milwaukee, Gloria Baldwin of Bolingbrook; two brothers, Gilbert of Milwaukee, Willie of Cairo, and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.

Funeral service will be at noon Friday at Algee Memorial Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Leroy Lockridge will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the chapel Friday from 10 a.m. to service time.
