Carol Lee Lamunion, daughter of the late James Garfield Trent and Dolly Pool Trent, was born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Patterson, Mo., and died on June 5, 2015, at Willowcreek Rehab and Care Center in Belleville, Ill., at the age of 73. Mrs. Lamunion was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Essex. She was a homemaker and a former resident of Dexter. She enjoyed helping with the Awana Children and Youth Ministry...

Carol Lee Lamunion, daughter of the late James Garfield Trent and Dolly Pool Trent, was born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Patterson, Mo., and died on June 5, 2015, at Willowcreek Rehab and Care Center in Belleville, Ill., at the age of 73.

Mrs. Lamunion was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Essex. She was a homemaker and a former resident of Dexter. She enjoyed helping with the Awana Children and Youth Ministry.

She is survived by one son, John Trent of Dexter; one daughter, Tammy Higgs of Malden; two brothers, James Trent of Troy, Mo., and Charles D. Trent of Australia; two sisters, Clara Allen of St. Peters, Mo., and Marie Boocheck of Bon Terre, Mo.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lowery and Alberta Nolting.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial service will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
