Carol Holmes

Carol J. Holmes, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Red Oak, Iowa, daughter of Harry Raymond and Cleo Drucella Hunt Eiler. She and Theodore R. Holmes were married July 22, 1949, in Red Oak. He died June 5, 1999.

Holmes was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and member of its Dorcas Circle.

Survivors include a son, Steven Holmes of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Cindy Austin of Cape Girardeau; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Robert Klein will officiate.
