FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Carol Jeanne (Bollinger) Harrington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2017, in Fort Myers.
She was born May 31, 1946, to Charles Hobart and Beverly Carroll Bollinger in North Kansas City, Missouri. She married the love of her life, 1st Lt. Thomas C. Harrington, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew Craig Harrington, and his wife, Lindsey Clark Harrington, and four grandchildren, Jack, Priscilla, Paul and Charlotte of Tallahassee, Florida, and a sister, Sharla Wilson (Bob) of Rockdale, Texas.
Carol was active in military and civilian charities and military and local church activities. She started and led Bible studies and taught Sunday school from nursery to high-school girls. For 30 years, she worked with Stonecroft Ministries Christian Women's Clubs. God has blessed her with an amazing life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made by check to Emmaus Bible College and mailed to: Carol J. Harrington Book Scholarship for First Year Students, Emmaus Bible College, Attention: Advancement Office, 2570 Asbury Road, Dubuque, IA 52001.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the El Nathan Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri, with Dr. John Englehart and Bob Wilson officiating. Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill is in charge of local arrangements.
