BOONEVILLE, Mo. -- Carol Sue Hankins, 70, of Booneville passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, in Columbia, Missouri. She was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Mena, Arkansas, to Dovie Bouchell and James Abshire. Carol married James Hankins on Nov. 9, 1965; they shared almost 50 years of marriage together...

BOONEVILLE, Mo. -- Carol Sue Hankins, 70, of Booneville passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, in Columbia, Missouri.

She was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Mena, Arkansas, to Dovie Bouchell and James Abshire. Carol married James Hankins on Nov. 9, 1965; they shared almost 50 years of marriage together.

Survivors include Carol's husband, James Hankins; a son, J. Kelly (Christina Lin) Hankins; and two grandchildren, Sarah Lin and Scott Lin Hankins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gashland United Methodist Church, 7715 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Missouri 64118. Placement will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
