ADVANCE -- Carlin Meador, 80, of Advance, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 30, 1913, at Hiram, son of George Tony and Maude Hood Meador. He and Alma Duniphan were married Oct. 19, 1935, at Arab.
Meador was a retired crane operator with Alpha-Portland Cement Co. in Lemay. He was a member of Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church near Gipsy.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, D.L. "Red" Meador of Advance, Dale Meador of Hillsboro; a daughter, Dola Harris of Advance; a brother, Claud Meador of Gipsy; a sister, Pauline Gobble of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lee Roy Hefner will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
