ORAN, Mo. -- Carla Dianne Walter Ray passed away Sunday, May 30, 2020, at her home in Oran, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born April 16, 1953, in Oran, the daughter of the late Philip Aloysius and Doris Jean Klipfel Walter. She married Barney M. Ray on Feb. 14, 1992.

Carla worked at numerous positions throughout her life: Oran Fire and Rescue, Superior Electric, Oran School District and HWI of Cape Girardeau. The job she reminisced about the most was working at Kenny's cafe in Oran at a ripe old age of 15. She retired from HWI in 2008 to devote more time to help care for her mother and grandchildren and spend more time in her flower gardens.

She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and Ladies Golf Association at Fox Haven.
