SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Carla Renee Cooksey of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Miss Cooksey, 25 years old, died Monday, April 22, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, from injuries she received Saturday when she fell off a horse.

She was born Nov. 29, 1965, at Dexter, daughter of James C. and Brenda C. Burch Cooksey Sr.

Miss Cooksey was salutatorian of the 1983 graduating class at Matthews High School. She was a secretary at Production Credit Association here.

Survivors include her parents of Matthews; two brothers, James Cooksey Jr. of Sikeston, Robert Cooksey of Matthews; paternal grandmother, Virlon Mae Cooksey, and maternal grandmother, Verba Burch, both of Matthews.
