ADVANCE, Mo. -- Carla Jo Brown, 41, of Advance died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

She was born May 15, 1964, in Fort Riley, Kan., daughter of Jerry and Yong Cha Kang Philpott. She and James Brown were married Nov. 30, 1993, at Zalma, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Kingman, Ariz.; a son, Gary Turner III of Bloomfield, Mo.; a daughter, Amber Duncan of Kennett, Mo.; a brother, Jerry Philpott of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Sondra Link of DeSoto, Mo., Sue Taylor of Morley, Mo.; and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
