MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Carl Willis, 82, of Miller City died Monday March 24, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 23, 1915, in Miller City, son of Frank and Lydia Kerstein Willis. He was a farmer, member of the Pulaski-Alexander County Farm Bureau, the Alexander-Pulaski Sportsmans Club and the Olive Branch United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Melody Elias of Paducah, Ky.; three sons, Kenneth Willis of Olive Branch, Ill., Lynn Willis, of Tamms, Ill., and David Willis of Miller City; two brothers, Chesley Willis of Miller City and Eugene Willis of Miller City; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
