SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Carl Loyd Wiggins, 70, of Sedgewickville died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 20, 1934, at Zebra, Mo., son of Loyd George and Hattie Merle Brown Wiggins. He and Carol Dexter were married Feb. 26, 2003...

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Carl Loyd Wiggins, 70, of Sedgewickville died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 20, 1934, at Zebra, Mo., son of Loyd George and Hattie Merle Brown Wiggins. He and Carol Dexter were married Feb. 26, 2003.

Wiggins was a truck driver with Strickland Truck Lines.

He was a POW during the Korean Conflict and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl Wiggins of Charleston, Mo., Keith Wiggins of Fredericktown, Mo.; three daughters, Denis Povalc of East Prairie, Mo., Debra Wiggins of state of California, Terri Ratcliff of Desloge, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Therese Fields of state of California, Vickie Abel of state of Wisconsin; a sister, Kathleen Bernhardt of Dawson Springs, Ky.; two half sisters, Patty Richmond of Ellsinore, Mo., Linda Wiggins of state of Montana; eight grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a stepgrandson.

There is no visitation or service.

Liley Funeral Home at Patton, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
