Carl Shaw

Carl J. Shaw, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Womack, Missouri, to the late Glen and Ethel Thomasson Shaw. He and Carol Boren were married Dec. 6, 1969, in Cape Girardeau.

Carl proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1962. He was a pipefitter for Local 562. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Shaw of Cape Girardeau; sons, Jeff (Leah) Shaw of Jackson, and their children, Allyson and Nick, and Chris (Deanna) Shaw of Jackson; and brother, Don (Gloria) Shaw of Farmington, Missouri.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Committal service, with full military honors, will follow in the cremation garden in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Southeast Cancer Center or a charity of choice.
