Carl Reimann, 82, of Fruitland passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 23, 1933, at Egypt Mills, son of Charles and Wilma Exler Reimann Jr. He and Shirley Ann Dunning were married Aug. 20, 1960, at Delta Baptist Church.
Carl graduated from Jackson High School. He worked at Ruesler Chevrolet and Brase Auto Parts in Cape Girardeau and 19 years at Procter & Gamble before retiring in 1989. He continued farming many years after retirement and also repaired lawn mowers and tractors, particularly antique tractors.
He enjoyed being with his family, taking "tractor drives" and driving his tractors in parades in Perryville, Missouri, Jackson and Cape Girardeau. He was a charter member of Fruitland Fire Department and a former assistant fire chief.
In addition to his loving wife, Shirley, survivors include a son, Kevin Eugene "Gene" Reimann of Fruitland; two daughters, Carla (David) Aufdenberg of Jackson and Cheryl (Howard) Collins of Fruitland; seven grandchildren, Kyle Aufdenberg, Tommy Aufdenberg, Carley Pierce, Cierra Reimann, Collin Reimann, Coltin Reimann and Caylee Collins; a great-grandchild, Dezahri Dennard; and two brothers, Paul (Carol) Reimann and Ivan (Luona) Reimann of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Marie and Don Huey.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Parry officiating. Interment will be in Hitt Cemetery near Arbor.
