CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Carl Nolen "Jiggs" Miller of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Combs will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
McMikle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miller, 77, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 12, 1916, in Mississippi County, son of Carl Edward and Esther Pinkney McGill Miller. He and Mary Margaret Poppelmeyer were married Sept. 27, 1941.
Miller was an administrator at Fox C6 Schools in Arnold 24 years. He then was employed in real estate, retiring in 1990. He moved back to Charleston in 1985. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, member and past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM. He served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Harry Miller of Wellsville, Kan., David Miller of Crossville, Tenn., and Robert Miller of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
