CARL MCMANUS

JACKSON -- Carl McManus, 73, of Union, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at St. Clair Nursing Home in St. Clair.

He was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Jackson, son of Ralph Otis and Ruby Lange McManus. He and Elva Richardson were married June 15, 1940, in Jackson.

McManus was a foreman at Samuel Shoe Co. many years, and then was a sales representative with Quinn Chemical Co.

He had lived in Union since 1964, and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He served with the U.S. Army in Northern France during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tyrone McManus of Jacksonville, Ark., Darwin McManus of St. Clair; a daughter, Marsha Mueller of Dell, Mont.; a sister, Vera Trowbridge of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Brune officiating. Burial will be in Zion Church Cemetery.
