Carl Lee Sinn, 84, lifelong resident of Egypt Mills died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at his home.

He was born June 11, 1937, in Cape Girardeau to Robert Carl Sinn and Helen Irene Steeg Sinn. He and Phyllis Jane Brockmire were married April 25, 1959, in Cape Girardeau.

He was a Nell Holcomb School Board member and FSA office formal member.

He was a lifelong farmer and logger. His advice and knowledge was sought after from farmers, loggers and hard workers all around the connecting counties.

Carl Lee was a devout Christian man, who loved his family and friends. He was loved and respected by all who met and knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Jane Sinn of Egypt Mills; two sons, Randy Lee Sinn and Wayne Allen (Teresia) Sinn, both of Egypt Mills; a daughter, Jenny Kay (Tony) Tucker of Egypt Mills; three brothers, Jimmy (Ella) Sinn of Egypt Mills, Robert (Jane) Sinn Jr. of Egypt Millsi and Harold (Serene) Sinn of Defiance, Missouri; a sister, Shirley Jo (Dude) Huey of Egypt Mills; six grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Uhrhan, Jonathan (Nicole) Sinn, Clint (Stacy) Sinn, Paige (Brad) Burns, Justin Sinn and Kassidy Hawkins; and six great-grandchildren, Mark Uhrhan, Carter Uhrhan, Layden Sinn, Brooklynn Burns, Everitt Sinn and Tobias Sinn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lou King.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills Cemetery Fund or Hobbs Chapel Cemetery Fund.
