Carl H. Koeberl, 90, of Pocahontas died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 26, 1912, at Pocahontas, son of Andreas H. and Ida L. Wallmann Koeberl. He and Bertha E. Walther were married March 7, 1943 at Jackson. She died Sept. 9, 2002.
Koeberl was a self-employed carpenter; he later owned and operated a farm in the area. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, where he formerly served on the property committee, church council and as an elder.
Survivors include a sister, Hilda Ruehling of Pocahontas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 9 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Albert Nyland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
