CARL EDWARD "PUD" LASLEY

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Carl Edward "Pud" Lasley, 47, of Lone Oak, Ky., formerly of Mounds, died Thursday, April 21, 1994, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

He was born Dec. 14, 1946, at Cairo, Ill., son of William Clarence Lasley Sr., and Ruby Wilson Lasley.

he was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church.

He was a 1965 graduate of Meridian High School at Mounds, where he played baseball and basketball.

He was plant manager of Burkhart Foam Co., at Cairo. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Rives Lasley, of Lone Oak; three sons, William Todd Lasley, Torre Clay Lasley and Trace Cody Lasley, all of Lone Oak; a daughter, Tara Lasley of Lone Oak; four brothers, William Clarence Lasley Jr. and Bobby Lasley, both of Mounds, Donny Lasley of Sioux St. Marie, Mich; and Billy Joe Lasley of Daleville, Ind.; two sisters, Betty S. Chobert of Fort St. Lucy, Fla. and Pam Woolard of Thompsonville, Ill.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Mounds, with the Rev. Quinton Davis and Dr. Willis S. Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lone Oak, Ky.

Friends may call at the First Baptist Church in Mounds from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
