EAST PRAIRIE -- Carl Stanley Britt, 90, of Victorville, Calif., formerly of East Prairie, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Desert Valley Medical Center in Victorville. He was born Feb. 25, 1908, in Columbus, Ky., the son of G. L. and Maggie Hayes Britt. He and Willie Forrester were married. She died Nov. 9, 1985...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Carl Stanley Britt, 90, of Victorville, Calif., formerly of East Prairie, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Desert Valley Medical Center in Victorville.

He was born Feb. 25, 1908, in Columbus, Ky., the son of G. L. and Maggie Hayes Britt. He and Willie Forrester were married. She died Nov. 9, 1985.

Britt lived in Victorville for 35 years, moving from East Prairie.

Survivors include three sons, Sherman Britt of Lebanon, Orville R. Britt of Victorville, and Winston Britt of Dunnellon, Fla.; a daughter, Imogene Fuqua of Victorville; a brother, Wayne Britt of Pharump, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A son, four brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
