ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Carl Wayne Black, 59, of Altenburg passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, in Cape Girardeau County.
He was born Dec. 18, 1956, in Oklahoma City, son of Jerrold Harrison and Eutrola Harpole Black. He and Deborah Underwood were united in marriage Jan. 17, 1977.
Carl retired from the U.S. Air Force on June 30, 1999. He worked as a repair technician in heating and air for Sears and attended La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Black of the home; parents, Jerrold Harrison and Eutrola "Bobby" Black of Bedford, Texas; son, Andrew Ryan (Tiffany) Black of Las Vegas; brothers, Jerrold Glen Black of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Alan Dale Black of Dallas; and a granddaughter, Livia Marie Black.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill, Missouri.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in Glenallen Cemetery in Glenallen, Missouri.
