CARL BERRONG

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Funeral for Carl F. Berrong of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery at Gipsy, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Berrong, 90, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at Advance Nursing Center.

He was born July 30, 1909, at Zalma, Mo., son of Mert and Lula Belle Lasater Berrong. He married Minnie Hogg, who died July 21, 1963. He later married Helen Dicky Doerr Nov. 9, 1963, at Zalma. She died Oct. 4, 1988.

Berrong was retired from Laclede Steel in Alton, Ill. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include three daughters, Beulah Staats, Imogene Ancell and Wanda Masters, all of East Alton, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, an infant son, three brothers, and a sister.
