Candy Jo Gracyus, 40, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at her home.
She was born May 28, 1981, to Andrew and Betty Bowen Gracyus in Chicago.
Candy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an 8th grade graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School and a graduate of Mount Assisi High School. She earned an associate degree from DuPage College. She enjoyed animal photography and baking.
Candy is survived by her mother, Betty Gracyus, and a sister, Wendy Gracyus, both of Oak Ridge; three aunts, Joann Dickmann, Shirl (Gary) Smith and Joy (Greg) Hill, all of Jackson; three uncles, Larry Bowen of Gordonville, Bobby (Karen) Bowen of Moody, Missouri, and Arnold (Judy) Bowen of Millersville; and a godmother, Donna Oncak of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
