Candace Lou Crawford, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 23, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Charles and Kathleen Roberts Crawford.

She was a very active member of Red Star Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her sister, Carla (Leonard) Sample of Cape Girardeau; nephews she loved as her own, John Sample of Pace, Florida, and Brian (Bridgid) Sample of Cape Girardeau; and a grandnephew, Charles Sample.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery.
