Camille Marie Lyons Matney, 49, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Kaskaskia, Ill., died Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
She was born April 6, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. She and Michael Matney were married June 16, 1984.
Camille grew up in Kaskaskia and attended school at the Kaskaskia Consolidated Grade School, graduating in 1974. She graduated from Chester High School in 1978 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1982 with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and fashion merchandising. During her many years in the retail industry she was a manager for GAP, Old Navy, GAP Kids, and worked as the manager at the Babies R US store in Memphis at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband; her mother, Emily Bauman Lyons of Chester, Ill.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred J. Lyons; her brother, Blase Lyons; paternal grandparents Margaret McTeer and William A. Lyons; and maternal grandparents, Vera Schmerbauch and Louis W. Bauman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Kaskaskia.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating.
Burial will be at Kaskaskia Cemetery in Kaskaskia.
