Calvin R. Williams, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at his home.

He was born Feb. 23, 1926, at Summersville, the son of Martin Luther and Eva Jane Barnett Williams. He and Georgia Stokely were married Dec. 7, 1944, at Osceola, Ark.

He was employed for nine years as an electronic technician at Southeast Missouri State University until his retirment. He had previously taught at the Cape Girardeau Vo-Tech for eight years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Woolly of Cape Girardeau and Wilma Jo Palmer of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Jesse E. Williams of Jackson; a sister, Wilma C. Maloney of Jackson; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. James Zink will officiate.

McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
