PUXICO, Mo. -- Calvin Stroup, 78, of Puxico died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1925, near Puxico, son of William A. and Cynthia Bell Daniels Stroup. He and Rebecca Canoy were married Oct. 6, 1944, in Parma, Mo.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Sturdivant, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Stroup of Dexter, Mo., Ray Stroup of Puxico and Lee Stroup of LaPlace, La.; two brothers, Bill and Eldon Stroup, both of Puxico; a sister, Paige Thicke of Russiaville, Ind.; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Revs. Dale Holman and Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Fagan Cemetery near Puxico.
