NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Calvin E. Glastetter, 54, of Peoria, Ill., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Aug. 23, 1947, at New Hamburg, son of Bernard and Anna Westrich Glastetter. He and Jacqueline L. Crawford were married Aug. 2, 1969, in Peoria.
Glastetter was a patent agent at Caterpillar Inc., where he worked 34 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, its Men's Club and was compassion and eucharistic minister of the church; participated in the Bread of Life Perpetual Adoration Program; cursillo, Knights of Columbus Third Degree No. 427 Spalding Council, and Fourth Degree No. 206 Spalding Assembly.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, the Rev. Michael Glastetter of Milwaukee, Wis., Dennis Glastetter of Morris, Ill.; his mother of New Hamburg; three brothers, Melvin, Virgil and Michael Glastetter, all of New Hamburg; two sisters, Rose Marie Blattel of Scott City, Mo., Victoria Eftink of Oran, Mo.; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Holy Family Church in Peoria from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday. The wake service will be at 7 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Glastetter officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
