FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Calvin Harold Clark, 71, of Fredericktown passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at Heritage Gardens Nursing Home in Greenville, Mo.

He was born Aug. 1, 1938, in Kennett, Mo., son of John Edward and Sylvia I. Robinson Clark. He and Velva Deelee Hollingsworth were married Oct. 16, 1959, in Bisbee, Ariz.

Clark had worked as an assembler for Chrysler in St. Louis. He was a member of UAW Local 136 and Apostolic Pentecostal Church in DeSoto, Mo.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife of Fredericktown; a son, Harold N. Clark of Fredericktown; a daughter, Lisa Clark of St. Louis; a sister, Lenora Cook of Ballwin, Mo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janet; four brothers, L.J., Blythe, Arthur, Roscoe; and three sisters, Ernestine Summerfield, Emma Sleen Henson and Ida Smith.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with David Penrod officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery.
