Caltha Germaine Ramsey, 91, of Burfordville died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home.
She was born April 19, 1917, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of William McKinley and Ora Jane Moore Prater. She and Earl Ramsey were married July 21, 1934, at Sturdivant, Mo. He died in 1977.
Ramsey retired from Paramount Hat Factory in Marble Hill, Mo. She was a member of Balch Chapel near Zalma and attended Burfordville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Sweeney of Burfordville; three brothers, Raymond Prater of Melahlem, Ore., Jerry Prater of Robertsville, Mo., Herbert Prater of Dunnesville, Va.; two sisters, Lucille James of Marble Hill, Oralea Mathis of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with John Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
