Charles Frank Reeves 78, of 134 County Road 653 died Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Charleston, the son of Odie and Ora Scott Reeves. On Aug. 30, 1941, he married Lydia Nations in Milton, Fla. He was an attorney, serving as a prosecutor and a probate judge in Mississippi County, and later worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1982...

Charles Frank Reeves 78, of 134 County Road 653 died Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Charleston, the son of Odie and Ora Scott Reeves. On Aug. 30, 1941, he married Lydia Nations in Milton, Fla.

He was an attorney, serving as a prosecutor and a probate judge in Mississippi County, and later worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1982.

He was a Lt. Commander in the Naval Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, William M. Reeves of Puxico and Charles F. Reeves Jr.; three daughters, Linda S. Madrid of Lima, Ohio, Dana S. Morrow of Cape Girardeau and Patricia Holstay of Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, Marshall Reeves of Cape Girardeau; two stepbrothers, Joseph Reeves and Byron Reeves of Charleston; three stepsisters, Mildred Burnett and Donna Morgan of Charleston and Francis Goldes of North Carolina, and 15 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lorimier Cemetery.
