ST. MARY, Mo. -- C. Byron Oster, 86, of St. Mary, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 19, 1914, in St. Mary, son of Charles and Isabella McNew Oster. He and Leretta M. Winkler were married Oct. 10, 1942. She died March 30, 1989.
He was a member of United Methodist Church in Perryville, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Oster, Jr., and Roger Oster, both of St. Mary; two daughters, Norma Moore of Boss, Mo., and Bonnie Helmink of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister and four brothers.
Friends may call today from 4:30-9 p.m. at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville and Tuesday from 6:30 to noon.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 at the United Methodist Church Perryville, with the Rev. Michael Kelp officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Fork Methodist Cemetery.
