ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Byron Wayne "Barney" Vaughn of Anna will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home here. Steve Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today, and until service time Thursday.
Vaughn, 22, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born Nov. 7, 1971, in Terre Haute, Ind., son of Jimmy Wayne and Deborah Vaughn.
Vaughn was a 1990 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1990-93.
Survivors include his mother, Deborah Morris of Anna; father and stepmother, Jimmy Wayne and Karen Vaughn, Anna Route 2; a brother, Bradley Vaughn of Anna; a stepsister, Kim Smith of Jonesboro; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Vaughn, Anna Route 2; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Green of Rosedale, Ind., and stepgrandparents, Wilbur and Ruth Emery of Anna.
