Byron Ford Dormeyer, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born July 11, 1905, at Jackson, son of Frederick Eugene and Tacie Ford Dormeyer. He and Marie Farquhar were married June 25, 1931, in Cape Girardeau. She died Aug. 27, 1990.
Dormeyer was a graduate of Stuttgart, Ark., High School, and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
He was a licensed pharmacist 75 years and had owned drug stores in Cape Girardeau, Jefferson City, and St. Louis County.
Dormeyer was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, charter member of Copper Dome Society and member of its President's Council. He was a former member and deacon at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Dormeyer of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Angela Bock of St. Charles; a brother, Fred Dormeyer Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Dr. Miles White will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
