PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Byron B. Lorenz of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cedar Fork Church. The Rev. Chuck Lewis will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Lorenz, 90, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1992, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1902, in Perry County, son of John and Karrie Babcock Lorenz. He and Gladys Holmes were married Sept. 11, 1932.

Lorenz was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Geraldine Tharp of Perryville, Joy Halpin of Fredericktown; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.
