ANNA, Ill. -- Gilman F. "Buster" Parker, 76, of Anna died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.
He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Anna, son of Arna and Emma Dunn Parker.
Parker was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hale; a brother, Arnold Parker; four sisters, Moneda Karraker, Arminta Johnson, Velma Menees and Irene Lingle, all of Anna; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
