John Burton
SIKESTON, Mo. -- John Ell Burton, 57, of Sikeston died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 8, 1946, in Snow Lake, Ark., son of Louie and Ruby Edwards Burton. He married Vina Flanigan on Aug. 5, 1978, in Sikeston.
He was a factory worker.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Henry Meldrum Post 114 of the American Legion.
He is survived by a son, Charles Burton of Benton, Mo.; two brothers, Alfred Burton of Sikeston and Charles Lynn Williams of Joplin, Mo.; a sister, Linda King of Atteboro, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brian Flanigan officiating.
Burial will be at the Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
