Burette Luther Cargle Jr., 65, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Oct. 19, 1992, at John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of Burette L. and Lottie L. Bridges Cargle. He and Lavina Collier were married July 24, 1948.
Cargle was a retired truck driver with East Texas Motor Freight, and member of Zion Lutheran Church at Gordonville.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Cargle of Dexter, Jeffrey Cargle of Miamisburg, Ohio; a sister, Wanda Smith of Independence, and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Church. The Rev. Karl Leeman will officiate, with burial in Passover Cemetery at Whitewater.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Wednesday, and at the church from noon to service time.
