Buford H. Seabaugh, 99, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born June 4, 1914, at Daisy, son of Willis E. and Sophia Barks Seabaugh. He and Imogene Seabaugh were married Sept. 28, 1940.

Buford was engaged in farming all his life and enjoyed living on the family Century Farm. He had served on the Bollinger County ASCS Board. He was a former member of Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church at Sedgewickville, Mo., and served on the church council many years. After retiring, Buford moved to Jackson and became a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Loving survivors include his wife of 72 years; a son, John H. Seabaugh of St. Louis; a granddaughter, Tami McGraw of Iowa; two great-granddaughters; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Loy McGraw; a grandson, Thomas McGraw; two brothers, Lloyd and Norman Seabaugh; and a half sister, Ester Seabaugh.

Friends may call from noon until time of service Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Interment will be in Sargent's Chapel Cemetery at Sedgewickville.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to First Presbyterian Church in Jackson or Sargent's Chapel Cemetery Association.
