MARBLE HILL -- Buford Lawrence Crader, 85, of Marble Hill, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was founder of Bollinger County Equipment Co., later named Crader Equipment Co., and served three terms as mayor of Marble Hill.
Crader was born Sept. 23, 1908, in the Hog Creek area near Marble Hill, son of Andrew and Laura Crader. He and Leora May Back were married April 1, 1929,
He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church here, was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and past director of the Bank of Marble Hill.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Crader of Marble Hill; two daughters, Carole Mornin of St. Louis, Barbara Powers of Normal, Ill.; three brothers, Bernard and Roy of Marble Hill, Eugene of Doniphan; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Fred Ritter and Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Marble Hill Cemetery.
