JACKSON -- Buford Ellis King, 72, of Jackson, died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at Deal Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 2, 1922, at Leeman, son of Floyd Ellis and Zona Hodge King. He and Faye Mary Mansker were married Dec. 4, 1946, in Piggott, Ark.
King worked at Colonial Service Station in Cape Girardeau 25 years. He retired from General Sign Co. in Cape Girardeau in 1984.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Roger King of Bowling Green, Ky., Randy and Robin King of Jackson, Michael King of Cape Girardeau, Terry King of Scott City; a daughter, Debra Foeste of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Duree, Charles, Danny and Dayton King of Dela, Louie King of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, LaDonna "Donnie" Yarbro of Cape Girardeau, Nadine Crowden of Delta, Catherine Anthony of Kansas City; 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, sister and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland. The Rev. Donald Estes will officiate.
