MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Buford L.J. Cook, 80, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 13, 1935, in Hurricane, Missouri, son of Thomas and Donie Jane Garland Cook. He and Colleen James were united in marriage Sept. 22, 1957.
Buford worked as a timber worker and attended Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen, of Marble Hill; one daughter, Rhonda (Terry) James of Marble Hill; and two grandchildren, Chloe and Emma Carson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Cook.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Hurricane Fork General Baptist church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright and the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
