SIKESTON -- Charles William "Bud" Beal, 54, of Sikeston died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, in an automobile accident three miles north of Miner at the overpass construction site on Interstate 55.

He was born March 8, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles Bryant and June W. Wyatt Beal.

Beal was a graduate of a high school in Pittsfield, Ill., and attended Eastern Illinois University at Charleston.

He was currently a real estate salesman with REMAX Achievers in Cape Girardeau. He had been assistant manager at JCPenney in Sikeston, manager of Wal-Mart stores in Malden and Jackson, and had owned and operated The Shoe Box and Heartland Book Store in Sikeston.

Beal had lived in Sikeston 10 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
