C.E. "Buck" Lineberry, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 22, 1917, at Dyer County, Tenn., son of Robert Odom and May Thomas Williams Lineberry. He and Frances Irene Gilliland were married Oct. 14, 1963, at Caruthersville, Mo.
Lineberry was a self-employed truck driver for many years and then worked for Harris Truck and Trailer Sales for 25 years. In 1982, he began to work for Campbell Mattress. He was a member of Teamster Retiree Club. He was also a member of West Side Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mark E. Lineberry of Cape Girardeau, Lewis Lineberry of Sikeston, Mo., and Jerry W. Lineberry of Hockley, Texas; a daughter, Mary Beth Kenkel of Sherwood, Ark.; five sisters, Ruth Howell of Jefferson City, Mo., Mary McDougal of Alabama, Tammie Lynn Sansone of Ormond Beach, Fla., Elwanda Leach of Peoria, Ill., and Joyce Holt of Fair Field Bay, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jon Rehbein will officiate with burial in Memorial Park.
