MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Bryce Robert Fisher of Marion, Ill., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. Verlee Eaker, Cecil Parrish and Eldo Eaker will officiate. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

Friends may call at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to service time at Liley Funeral Home.

Fisher, 72, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1994, at Park Avenue Health Care Center in Herrin, Ill.

He was born Sept. 24, 1921, at Sank, son of Lee and Rozetta Hahn Fisher. He and Celeste Eaker were married July 14, 1940, near Lutesville.

Formerly of Lutesville, Fisher began work with Lutesville Ford Motor Co. in 1955, was co-owner of Sikeston Motor Co. from 1965-74, and since 1974 was owner of Marion Ford, Lincoln, Mercury dealership in Marion.

He was a member of Marion Rotary Club, American Heart Association, Marion Chamber of Commerce, Southern Illinois Economic Regional Development, Ford Dealers Association, New Car Dealers Association, Governor of Illinois Advisory Board, American Cancer Society and Hearts Helping Hearts.

He was a charter member and deacon of New Horizon General Baptist Church in Herrin, and served many years on the general board of the General Baptist Denomination World Wide.

Fisher was a past president of Lutesville Board of Education, and past member of Marion United Way, Marble Hill and Marion Lions Clubs.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Fisher of Marion; a daughter, Judy Fisher of St. Louis; three sisters, Alma Murdock of Marble Hill, Hallie Vesterby and Dora Cooper of Zalma, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
