SIKESTON -- Bryan McCord, 89, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1910, at Ponder, son of William Calvin and Lula Zerviah Beakley McCord. He and Melba Ruth Jenkins were married March 9, 1934, in Corning, Ark.
A funeral director and embalmer, he formerly owned and operated a funeral home in Naylor. He had also owned the Cream Castle in Sikeston.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ray McCord of Sikeston; a daughter, Sandra Dobnikar of St. Louis; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Naylor Masonic Cemetery.
