Bruce Nall

Bruce Lynn Nall, 61, of St. Louis, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Mountain. Home, Ark.

Bruce was born Dec. 17, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to John and Eileen Armour Nall. He and Cassandra "Susie" Jones were married May 30, 1970.

Bruce graduated from Poplar Bluff High School and received a bachelor's degree in music education from Southeast Missouri State University where he was a star place kicker for the SEMO Indians and a tenor soloist for the SEMO choir.

In the 1970s, Bruce became an assistant football coach and the choir director at Hazelwood High School in St. Louis County.

In 1981, the family moved back to Cape Girardeau, where Bruce started his own insurance agency. In 1999, Bruce accepted an insurance and financial planning position with A.G. Edwards in the St. Louis corporate offices; currently he was a financial representative with Executive Financial Group.

Bruce was involved with the Cape Girardeau Christian Businessmen Committee, Promise Keepers and was a strong supporter of the National Right to Life Council. Bruce sang with the St. Louis Chamber Chorus and was a member of the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association. Bruce attended Mount Auburn Christian Church and Cape Bible Chapel. At the time of his death, he was a member of The Journey in St. Louis.

Survivors include his mother, Eileen Nall of Cape Girardeau; his wife Susie, two sons; John and wife Aubrey Nall, David and wife Lauren Nall; two daughters, Emily and husband Jeff Tofaute, Alison and husband Jason Oslund, all of St. Louis; two brothers; Ron and wife Anita Nall of Cape Girardeau, Dennis and wife Sandra Nall of Jackson; three grandchildren, whom he adored, Lofton Nall, Nina Oslund and, keeping with Bruce's love of all life, a baby Nall due in November.

His father, John Nall, preceded him in death in 2009.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape.
