Brody Gard, 10, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at his home. He was born May 18, 2001, in Denver to Bernie and Mandi Gard. Brody was a fifth-grader at South Elementary School in Jackson. He had a love for all sports and played on numerous teams in Jackson. Brody had an infectious laugh and a smile to melt your heart, he is dearly missed and loved by all who knew him...

Brody Gard, 10, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at his home.

He was born May 18, 2001, in Denver to Bernie and Mandi Gard.

Brody was a fifth-grader at South Elementary School in Jackson. He had a love for all sports and played on numerous teams in Jackson. Brody had an infectious laugh and a smile to melt your heart, he is dearly missed and loved by all who knew him.

He was a member of La Croix United Methodist Church and was baptized with his older brother, Jack, this summer.

Survivors include his parents, Bernie and Mandi Gard; a brother, Jack; a sister, Hannah, all of Jackson; paternal grandfather, Rob Gard of Littleton, Colo.; maternal grandparents, Lory and Jerry Wells of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Gayle Gard.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at La Croix United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions in honor of Brody Gard may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
