EAST PRAIRIE - Brother Paul P. Presson, 91, of East Prairie, died on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Sept. 30, 1902, in East Prairie, to Matthew L. and Lena Elliot Presson.
On June 26, 1926, he married Pearl Pritchett, who preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Sherrell Presson of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; two daughters, Paula Barker of East Prairie and Carolyn Godwin of Shreveport,La.; one brother, Joe Presson of Farmington, Mich.; two sisters, Loletta Young of Silver Springs, Md. and Christine Hazenbach of Germantown, Tenn. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Presson was preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and five sisters.
Presson was a life-long resident of Mississippi County. He was a retired Church of God minister and a member of the First Church of God of East Prairie.
Friends may call until noon, today, at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., today, at the First Church of God in East Prairie, with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery, near East Prairie.
